Compacion Foundation in collaboration with The Hispanic Contractors Association de Tejas (HCAT) has been awarded a US Department of Labor, Occupational Safety and Health Administration Susan Harwood Grant. A four year capacity building program to deliver training in the Construction Industry to construction workers and to small and new businesses. (FY2009 to FY2013)
With funding from the Susan Harwood Grant program, Compacion Foundation and HCAT will establish a Training Center: CONSTRUCTION COMPLIANCE TRAINING CENTER
The Construction Compliance Training Center (CCTC) was established to:
- train,
- educate
- and address occupational safety and health problems within the construction industry.
Training and services will be designed to create an increased awareness of workplace hazards, identify measures
that can be taken to eliminate or control them, and provide education on worker rights and employer responsibilities under the OSH Act. Training and services will be provided within the Region 6, in the State of Texas concentrating
in the Dallas/Fort Worth and surrounding metropolitan areas. CCTC strives to provide the highest quality hands–on
and classroom training possible. At times the demand for certified workers exceeds training capacity, or is required
in remote locations. In these situations, our mobile training providers can quickly provide the required training.
